CursorSpot - Guide

Instantly find your mouse cursor with elegant highlights. Perfect for presentations, screen sharing, and large displays.


Getting Started

  1. Launch CursorSpot — a colored marker appears around your cursor
  2. Long-press Ctrl (1 second) to toggle the marker on/off
  3. Double-press Ctrl to briefly highlight your cursor position
  4. Open the settings window to customize appearance

Cursor Marker

A semi-transparent overlay that follows your cursor at all times.

Cursor Highlight

A temporary emphasis effect that makes the marker larger and more visible for 1 second.

  • Triggered by double-pressing Ctrl
  • Scales the marker by 2.5x (configurable)
  • Uses a separate highlight color (default: Crimson)
  • Automatically reverts after 1 second

Tips

  • Presentations — Use the highlight (double-press Ctrl) to draw attention to specific UI elements
  • Large displays — Increase marker size and opacity for better visibility on big screens
  • Screen recording — Enable blink effect to make the cursor more noticeable in videos
  • Lock it — Enable the lock checkbox to prevent accidentally toggling off during a presentation

Privacy

  • CursorSpot runs entirely on your computer
  • No data is collected or sent to any server
  • No screen content is captured — only cursor position is tracked
