Review Before Record
Receipt, statement, connection, and import pipelines land in a durable Review Queue so uncertain matches and transfers remain visible before they affect reports.
- Fast intake: Add transactions manually, scan receipts with on-device OCR, use supported NFC, or import bank and card files.
- Review Queue: Imported records wait for your approval instead of entering the ledger silently.
- Reliable ledger: Accounts, categories, transfers, reconciliation, rules, and duplicate checks share one source of truth.
- Planning: Review budgets, cash flow, net worth, investments, and what-if scenarios.
- Reports and export: Create CSV, TSV, XLSX, PDF, and other supported summaries with explicit privacy previews.
- Encrypted portability: Create and restore encrypted .qmoney backups without surrendering your ledger to a hosted account.
Note: QuickMoney is an organization and planning tool, not financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice.

Tips & Tricks
Approve or reject Review Queue items before relying on reports.
Create reusable import profiles for statements with the same column layout.
Mark both sides of a transfer so spending and net worth are not double-counted.
Test an encrypted backup restore before treating it as your only recovery copy.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| Imported columns are wrong | Return to Import Preview and confirm encoding, delimiter, header, date, amount, and account mapping. |
| A transfer is double-counted | Review the transfer match and ensure both ledger sides share the correct transfer identity. |
| Receipt OCR is uncertain | Open the Receipt Inbox, compare the image, and correct merchant, date, total, and tax before approval. |
| A backup cannot open | Verify the exact file, passphrase, available space, and backup integrity; do not overwrite the current ledger until validation passes. |
Privacy
- The encrypted local ledger is the source of truth.
- Receipt OCR runs on-device and imported data waits for explicit review.
- Configured cloud AI, read-only connections, sync, and exports receive only data you approve.
- Bank passwords are not stored in project data.
Your responsibility: Do not import accounts or financial records you are not authorized to access, and protect backup passphrases and exported reports.
