FortuneCalendar User Guide
FortuneCalendar combines 15 fortune systems into a stable daily digest and a practical calendar with offline almanac facts.
Getting Started
- Open Today. No profile form is required; the current reading is ready immediately.
- Use the date arrows, swipe sideways on mobile, or tap the date to choose another day.
- Select Overall, Love, Work, Money, or Health to focus the main score on one category.
- Open the evidence breakdown to see which systems lift, warn, or remain neutral.
- Visit Calendar to compare days, or Profiles to enable systems that need birth details.
Tip: Start without entering anything. Add profile details only when you want the extra fortune systems they enable.
Interface Overview

Reading the Daily Digest
The hero shows a numeric score and one of seven named tiers. Color is reinforced with text, so you never have to infer the result from color alone.
- Overall and five categories: Tap a category tile to move its value into the hero.
- Guidance: Read a practical action prompt; lower days emphasize how to handle the day.
- Lucky elements: Review the day's suggested color, number, direction, and other available elements.
- Evidence: See direction, source evidence, configured weight, confidence, and share of the combined result.
- Excluded systems: A system missing required input is listed with a reason and is not counted as zero.
Fixed versus provisional: When a day arrives, its reading is saved and cannot be redrawn. Future readings remain deterministic previews, but profile or fortune-setting changes can update them before the date arrives.
Calendar & Almanac
- Switch between month and year views and choose Overall, Love, Work, Money, or Health.
- Choose Simple, Standard, or Detailed density to control how much each day cell shows.
- Toggle holidays, lunar dates, Japanese era years, Rokuyō, solar terms, moon phases, lucky-day marks, sunrise, and sunset.
- Open a day for its reading or open an almanac item for detailed facts.
Fact versus interpretation: Holidays, moon phases, and solar terms use a different visual treatment from fortune-tier colors. Corrections to factual data can update past calendar facts, while a fixed reading remains unchanged.
Profiles, History & Backup
Profiles
A birth date enables systems such as horoscope, Nine Star Ki, Sukuyō, and numerology. Birth time can enable Four Pillars. Other optional fields enable only systems that use them. The profile editor shows what each next input adds.
- Keep multiple profiles and switch without changing the selected date.
- Choose one main profile and one notification profile.
- Select a birthplace from the bundled city data; no location permission or network lookup is used.
History and backup
Fixed history records the original result. Export a JSON backup from Settings > Advanced and keep it somewhere you control. Restore validates the complete file before applying it, so an invalid backup does not partially replace current data.
Notifications & Widgets
- Daily reading: Receive the tier, score, and one line at your chosen time.
- Great day ahead: Optional notice before an Excellent or Great day.
- Almanac events: Optional holidays, solar terms, and new/full moon alerts.
- Weekly summary: Optional trend summary once per week.
- Home-screen widgets: Show a compact reading on supported iOS and Android devices.
Delivery limits: Alerts are scheduled locally and can be delayed or suppressed by notification permission, battery policies, sleep, Focus modes, or desktop OS behavior. Today remains the source of the full reading.

Trial, Free, and Pro use the same reading and planning feature set. Pro removes mobile ads and desktop upgrade reminders; purchases are excluded from the calculation.

Tips & Tricks
Tap a category tile before opening the breakdown to study Love, Work, Money, or Health evidence in context.
Use Simple calendar density for scanning, then switch to Detailed when you need lunar and almanac context.
Keep quiet hours enabled if daily and almanac alerts would otherwise overlap overnight.
Export a fresh JSON backup after adding profiles or changing notification ownership.
Troubleshooting

| The result does not change when reopened | This is expected. The same profile and date always return the same result, and a fixed day cannot be redrawn. |
| A fortune system is excluded | Open its evidence or Settings > Fortunes to see the required profile input, disabled state, or unsupported reason. |
| A holiday or almanac item is unavailable | Check the selected region, enabled layer, supported date range, and whether the bundled data pack covers that fact. |
| A notification did not appear | Review permission, notification profile, scheduled time, quiet hours, Focus mode, and OS battery or sleep behavior. |
| Sunrise or sunset is missing | Select an offline city in the profile/calendar settings and verify the layer is enabled. |
| A backup will not import | Choose a complete FortuneCalendar JSON backup. Validation protects current data from partial or incompatible input. |
Privacy
- Profile details, identity seeds, readings, history, and settings remain on the device.
- Fortunes are computed locally and work offline.
- No location permission, fortune account, analytics endpoint, or cloud fortune service is required.
- Only platform services needed for purchases, advertising where applicable, and explicitly opened web links use the network.
