Getting Started

1. Click New Workset to create a project, or use the File Split / File Merge wizards
2. The workset editor opens with a text editor (left) and folder tree (right)
3. Use → to split editor blocks into individual files
4. Use ← to merge folder files back into the editor

How It Works

Split Format

Files in the editor are separated by a configurable block format:

• {filepath} — the relative path for the output file
• {filecontent} — the file content until the next separator
• The separator format is fully customizable with presets

Split (Editor → Folder)

Parses the editor text into blocks and writes each block as a separate file to the folder.

Merge (Folder → Editor)

Reads files from the folder, wraps them in the split format, and assembles them in the editor.

Workset Editor

Text Editor (Left)

• Displays the merged file with color-coded separators
• Minimap sidebar showing block positions
• Line and character count
• Undo / Redo support

Folder Tree (Right)

• Hierarchical view of the split folder
• Enable/disable individual files (disabled files are skipped during split/merge)
• Drag and drop files from Finder to add
• Right-click for open, reflect, add, or delete operations

Compare

Click Compare to highlight differences between editor blocks and folder files. Shows file presence, content changes, and block-level mismatches.

Filters

• File filter (include / exclude): wildcards and regex, comma-separated
• Folder filter (include / exclude): same
• Include subdirectories (recursive)
• Show/hide hidden files

Tips

• Code bundling — Merge an entire source folder into one file for sharing or review, then split it back
• Selective sync — Disable files you don't want to include in split/merge operations
• Custom separators — Use format presets or create your own separator pattern for different file types
• Compare before merge — Always compare first to see what has changed before overwriting

Privacy

• All file operations run locally on your computer
• No data is sent to any external server
• Workset data is stored only on your local disk
