QuickImage User Guide
QuickImage combines familiar layer-based editing with explicit file safety, compatibility reporting, and non-destructive recovery.
Getting Started
- Create a New Image, open an existing image, or paste from the clipboard.
- Choose a tool, then adjust its options in the bar below the menu.
- Organize content in Layers and use masks or clipping for non-destructive edits.
- Use Save for the current document or Save Image As for a new working copy.
- Use Export when you need a separate delivery file in another format.
Tip: Use a layer mask before erasing when you may need to restore pixels later.
Interface Overview

Layers, Compatibility, and File Safety
QuickImage keeps unfinished work in a recovery draft, checks for external changes before replacing a bound image, and never calls recovery data a completed file save.
- Layered editing: Raster, text, shape, fill, group, mask, clipping, opacity, and blend workflows.
- Paint and retouch: Brush, eraser, fill, clone, selections, crop, text, shapes, and transform tools.
- PSD and PSB: Compatibility reporting identifies editable, rasterized, and pass-through content before you continue.
- OpenRaster import: Verified ORA archives open as editable layered drafts with conversion notes.
- Safe document saving: Existing images stay bound to their source for atomic Save and Save Image As workflows.
- Delivery export: Create separate PNG, JPEG, WebP, TIFF, PDF, PSD, or PSB artifacts without changing the original.
Note: Keep backups of irreplaceable originals and review compatibility notes before overwriting a layered file created by another application.
Settings
Open Settings to review the following app-specific controls:
- Appearance, theme, tone, and workspace behavior
- Keyboard shortcut customization
- Editor, export, recovery, and model storage preferences
- On-device AI model status, license, verification, update, and removal
Trial, Free, and Pro use the same functional feature set. Pro removes mobile ads and the daily desktop support reminder.
Keyboard Shortcuts
On Apple platforms, use Command where the app maps a displayed Ctrl shortcut to the platform primary modifier. The in-app shortcut page remains authoritative.

Tips & Tricks
Use a layer mask before erasing when you may need to restore pixels later.
Read the PSD/PSB compatibility report before editing a file with advanced Photoshop content.
Use Save Image As when experimenting so the source document remains available as a separate copy.
Export is for delivery; keep the editable document when future revisions are likely.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to check |

| A PSD layer is not editable | Open the compatibility report. The layer may be rasterized or preserved as pass-through content. |
| Save is blocked | Check destination permission, free space, external file changes, and the exact format shown by the save dialog. |
| An AI action is unavailable | Open Advanced and verify that a supported on-device executor and reviewed model are ready. |
| The image looks missing after reopening | Inspect the recovery draft and the bound source location; recovery does not replace the original file. |
Privacy
- Editing and supported AI execution occur on the device.
- Image data is not uploaded for AI processing; only an explicitly requested model download uses the network.
- External files are accessed only through user-granted locations or exact-file permissions.
- Exports and working documents remain separate, traceable artifacts.
Your responsibility: Only edit or export images, fonts, models, and other assets you are authorized to use.
